Val is a classically-trained pianist with extensive performance experience. 
Most recently, she appeared in the Oregon Mandolin Orchestra’s inaugural performance playing Debussy’s Arabesque with mandolinist Brian Oberlin.
While adept at playing a variety of styles from show tunes to popular music, Val’s first love on piano is music from the Romantic period. Her lyrical and expressive playing shines through on works by composers such as Chopin and Beethoven.
She gets great enjoyment from working with other musicians, and in particular, has worked with singers in genres ranging from musical theater to opera.
Val is available for accompaniment work with singers and instrumentalists, and is also available for solo performances at weddings, private parties, or other events.
