Val has released four solo albums, and one album with her duo Luminous Heart. Her first album, Find the Beauty, was recorded in 2012 by sound engineer Doug Andreas at Double D Studio in McMinnville, Oregon. It leaned heavily toward country and bluegrass, and included “Cowboy’s Return” and “February”.

Water, Ashes & Wood was released in early 2015 and included the single “Walk Away”. Many of the songs have been played on folk radio stations around the US and abroad. The album was recorded at New North Sound in Portland, OR, and featured performances by Tony Furtado, Tim Ellis, Paul Brainard and Tim Connell, as well as Joe Aloia, Theresa Riccardi, Sharon Donaldson and Joseph Siegel.

In 2016, Val released the EP Fact or Fiction. Recorded and produced by Rob Stroup (Moody Little Sister, Baseboard Heaters), it’s a collection of four darkly haunting songs including “Gaslight”, “Ghost Town”, “As I Fall”, and “The Bottle”. Musicians on the record include Bob Dunham, Will Amend, Anders Bergstrom, Paul Brainard, Naomi Sparrow and Rob Stroup..

Also in 2016, Val’s EP with her duo Luminous Heart was released. Possibility features Val and duo partner Jamie Corff on six original songs, and was recorded at Pyrate Llama Studio with engineer Jon Dark.

Val recorded her most recent album World on Fire in 2019 with producer Jamie Hill in Tacoma, WA. This album includes musicians Dave Hannon, Dan Tyack, Jesse Turcotte, Shannon Curtis and Jamie Hill.
